Takht Sri Harimandir Ji, Patna Sahib, marks the birthplace of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the tenth Sikh Guru, and is one of the five Takhts of Sikhism. Guru Nanak Dev Ji and Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji also visited Patna, so the old city has a whole circuit of historic Gurudwaras.

- Cover your head (scarves are available), remove shoes and wash hands and feet before entering.
- Tobacco and alcohol are strictly prohibited in the area.
- During Prakash Purab the city is very crowded – book stay and transport early.
